Wireless Access Point Enclosures and Mounts for

Securing on Walls or in Hard-lid in Ceilings

Many wireless access point manufacturers recommend t

hat the access point be

mounted in a horizontal orientation to achieve best wireless coverage. Horizontal

mounting may be difficult in hard-lid and other environments where the access point

is mounted on the wall. Oberon's 1029-00 wireless LAN access point wall-mount

bracket is designed to mount and secure access points from most manufacturers in

areas were wall mounting is required*. This aesthetic, white powder-coated steel

mounting 18-gauge steel right angle bracket and cover is ideal for mounting the

access point in the preferred "horizontal" orientation. Knockouts on two sides and

top for 1/2 in. trade size conduit clamps, raceways and cable can be securely

terminated inside the enclosure to provide for a clean appearance. The access point

can be locked in place using the manufacturer's bracket lock feature.

*Designed for Cisco 1140/1260/3500 series and Aruba Networks AP105 access

points. Other access points can be mounted using optional universal mounting

plates. Ask your local sales representative for details.

The model 1030-00 hard-lid or wall-mount enclosure pr

ovides a secure, aesthetic,

convenient mounting solution for wireless access points from most vendors. The

enclosure is 18-gauge powder-coated steel with a low-profile RF-transparent,

impact-resistant ABS dome so that wireless access points with integrated or

non-detachable antennas can be secured in otherwise unsecured spaces. The

product is designed to satisfy National Electric Code (NEC) paragraphs 300-22 and

300-23 for installation in the air-handling space, UL-94-5VA Classified ABS dome

and OSHPD- OPA #1638 approved. Locks are keyed-alike to simplify moves, adds

and changes. An optional suspended ceiling flange kit, 1030-FLANGE, permits the

model 1030-00 to be mounted in a standard 2 ft. x 2 ft. suspended ceiling system

The dome is 13 in. x 13 in. x 2 in., and weighs 6 lb. (not including access point).

Enclosure must be supported by the building ceiling structural system, not

tile gridwork.

This economical enclosure has a low-profile, 16-gauge steel backbox,

impact-resistant, RF-transparent ABS dome so that wireless access points with

integrated or non-detachable antennas can be secured in otherwise unsecured

spaces. The product is designed to provide an unobtrusive mounting solution. Locks

are keyed-alike to simplify moves, adds and changes. UL 94-5VA Classified.

The model 1025-00 wireless LAN access point enclosure

is a 30 percent fiberglass

reinforced polyester NEMA 4 construction, grey, paintable, virtually transparent to RF

signals. This indoor/outdoor enclosure has a locking door, and is designed to

accommodate access points with detachable or non-detachable antennas from most

manufacturers. Designed to enable NEMA 4 installations when properly sealed

antennas and cable feeds are installed, this construction is virtually transparent to

radio frequency signals.

• Designed for wall or mast mounting indoors or outdoors, where secure mounting

is required

• Two 3/4 in. trade size cable feed-through openings in the bottom

• Typical temperature rise is <10°C with powered access point; to avoid

excessive heat build-up in the enclosure, avoid direct exposure to sunlight
